About this Course

The coverage is broad, and upon completion of the course, the participants should be able to: - Understand the principles of air distribution system related to human comfort - Understand the functions of air distribution system components, including major equipment types and auxiliary components - Select type of supply outlets based on the Air Diffusion Performance Index (ADPI) - Select return/exhaust inlets and air filter - Determine the duct size and pressure losses in the duct system - Determine the system effect at the fan inlet/outlet - Select suitable type of fan and fan control for the system - Understand the basic acoustics and noise measurement in MVAC system - Understand Pump&System in water condensing system - Determine the pipe size, pressure losses and pump size in the water condensing system - Understand the principle codes and standards (e.g. CP13, ASHRAE, SMACNA and AMCA) applied in air system design
