Course Objectives

To equip trainees with in-depth skills and knowledge to excel in the hospitality industry. Trainees can learn comprehensive knowledge starting from methodologies on Budget Planning, Developing Marketing & Business Strategies to Human Resource & Guest Service operations management. Upon completion, trainees will be empowered to help set the standards to meet rising customers' expectation in the Tourism Sector.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded with a WSQ Diploma in Tourism (Accommodation Management). Participants are deemed to have successfully completed the course if they meet the competency standards for each of the fourteen units in the course outline above.

Singaporeans who successfully attain a WSQ Diploma for the first time after 1 March 2011 will be eligible for a CET Qualification Award (CQA) of S$1000.00 in cash.

Admission Criteria

GCE 'O' levels with a credit in English and Mathematics; or equivalent or WPLN level 5. Alternatively participants with supervisory experiences in the hospitality industry will be considered on the case by case basis if sponsored by hotel.

Customer service oriented and possess an outgoing personality

Mode of Delivery

Lectures, role plays, oral questioning, projects, visual aids, demonstrations and discussions.

To ensure optimum level of attention among the candidates and to allow for good learning dynamics, Ascott Centre for Excellence classes has an average of 1 teacher to a class of 15 candidates.

Duration

Our Diploma is a part-time, 12 hours per week over 12 months.

Part-time Course: Tuesdays – 6 to 10 pm and Saturdays – 9am to 6pm
