This course is recommended for personnel who wish to fulfil both the supervisory and assessor roles.

Duration: 16.5 hours (including 3.5 hours of assessment)

Pass Criteria: 70%

Entry Requirements

Employability Skills System (ESS) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above, or equivalent

Ability to carry out hazards identification, risk assessment, and risk control measures

Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide course participants with the requisite WAH knowledge to assess work at height activities so that work is carried out properly and safely. At the end of the course, the participants shall be able to:

1. Identify, explain and apply the relevant Workplace Safety and Health

2. (WSH) Legislations / Approved Code of Practice / Singapore Standards applicable to Work-at-Heights (WAH)

3. Identify and explain the roles & responsibilities of a WAH Assessor

4. Identify hazards, evaluate the risk, and implement control measures for WAH activities

5. Conduct risk assessment for WAH and implement preventive measures related to WAH

6. Implement and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of Fall Prevention Plan.

7. Evaluate whether the control measures implemented on site for PTW are adequate and effective
