About the course:

21 SDU points awarded. Course Contents:

1.Identify duties and responsibilities of a Confined Space Supervisor under the WSH legislations and Codes of Practice

2.Identify, prevent and control confined space hazards

3.Carry out and comply with the requirements of the Confined Space Entry Permit System using a systematic approach

4.Apply Gas Detection Instruments and other control measures when working in confined space

5.Implement the safe use of personal protective equipment and respiratory protective equipment when in a confined space. 6.Assist in implementing an Emergency Response Plan

Assumed Skills & Knowledge:

Learners are assumed to:

1.Have basic supervision skills

2.Have basic knowledge of the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health requirements

3.Have basic knowledge of Safety management system

4.Have basic knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE)

5.Be able to follow written and oral work instructions

6.Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System (ESS) level 5

7.Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) level 5..


100% attendance is required. Latecomers are STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED into the class. 

Trainees must bring along any one of the following documents (photocopy or original) to be allowed to attend the class

Work permit 

IPA and Passport

NRIC / S Pass / Employment Pass.

Trainees must wear Safety Shoes and properly attired (No Singlet/Shorts/Bermudas).
