Programme Objectives

The Specialist Diploma in Children & Youth Counselling aims to equip the individual with the know-how of detection and assessment ofchildren & at-risk youths through gaining an appreciation and awareness of the dynamics that lie beyond the delinquency of a child (i.e. the child’s personality, the family, peer group pressures, socioeconomic issues of poverty and minority status).


Award

Upon successfully completing the course, the ACC School of Counselling and Psychology will award students with a Specialist Diploma in Children & Youth Counselling.


Programme Duration

48 3-hour sessions held weekly.

Total Contact Hours: 144 Hours


Programme Structure

Classes are presented through a series of lively discussions as well as reflective and experiential activities. Participants are encouraged to consider how aspects of this course relate to their present concerns.
