This course is for those in a Project / Site Management role who currently hold a valid SMSTS certificate that is due for renewal

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

People who currently hold a valid Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate that has been gained within the previous five years.

COURSE CONTENTS

Successful candidates will gain knowledge and skills in:

• Current focus of HSE attention
  
• Risks assessments
  
• Method statements
  
• CDM Regulations
  
• Construction Health, Safety and Welfare (CDM part 2)
  
• Reporting of Accidents, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences (RIDDOR)
  
• Overview and changes to the current legislation affecting construction to include:
  

- Work at Height Regulations

- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health

- Control of Vibration at Work Regulations

- Control of Noise at Work Regulations

- Fire on construction sites including Fire Safety Order

- Construction waste and Site Waste Management

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The minimum entry requirement is a good understanding of spoken and written English.
