Audience:

Shipyard workers in the painter trade industry.

Course Overview:

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Recognise their roles and duties in shipyard works

Implement safety measures and procedures for painting works

Course Outline:

Case studies of major fire and explosion accidents

Develop a positive attitude towards safety

Causes of fires and explosions (relating to painting activities) and their prevention

Health Hazards and Preventive Measures

Permit-to-Work systems (focus will be on Painting-Permit)

Responsibilities and duties of painters

Pre-requisites:

Participants must have successfully completed the Shipyard Safety Instruction Course (General Trade) or (Hot Work Trade) Course.

Duration:

4 hours (including assessment)

Schedule:

8.30AM – 6.30PM
