A basic course of study in Interior Design. As the course trains designers, students will be skills trained on both interior working drawings and presentation. Drawings involve technical and freehand drawings. As far as design is concerned, students must like to draw and learn to communicate ideas with others. Definition of “Interior Design & Decoration” . What does a Interior Designer do? Basic principles and elements of interior design and decoration. Draughtmanship & Perspective Drawing for the Interior Designer. Drawing equipment / materials and their use. Construction materials for Interior Design. Colour theory. Lighting. Design criteria and concepts. Design practice on residential interiors e.g Kitchen, Bedrooms, Living & Dining design etc. Colour Presentation.
