Syllabus

▸ Principles and Practices of First Aid 

▸ Disorders of the Respiratory System 

▸ Disorders of the Circulatory System 

▸ Bleeding and Wounds 

▸ Disorders of Consciousness 

▸ Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) 

▸ Burns and Scalds 

▸ Fractures and Soft Tissues Injuries 

▸ Effects of Heat and Cold 

▸ Poisoning 

▸ Handling of Casualty 

Requirements

Participants are required to fulfill the following criteria before a First Aid Certificate is awarded. 

  • Attain 100% attendance in order to sit for the test. 
  • Attain 60% for both the theory and practical components. 
  • Those who fail to attain 60% will be allowed a 2nd attempt on the same test date. 
  • Those who fail on the 2nd attempt will be required to take a retest on another date.
