About this Course

This version of PowerPoint aims to embed the mind-set of working online and being mobile into our everyday office lives. As with most applications, being bound to a desk and conducting once-a-week physical meetings are soon becoming unproductive ways of working. Moreover, with new features and functions and a brand new look and feel PowerPoint users will be delighted to see the types of presentation visuals they can prepare.’

This course also delves into providing best-practices of those companies leading the way in PowerPoint use, from building libraries, how to maintain the brand throughout all departments and going beyond simple master-templates.

Participants will be fully versed in this course and ready to make both exciting and effective business presentations.

This course will be running on PC Based windows software and not Macintosh. 

Anyone in business who does a presentation; to convey, sells, inform, announce and train in a business environment. These include a wide variety of persons including those from Sales, Marketing, Product Development, HR, Business Development, Finance and Learning and Development divisions.  

Prerequisite:
This is an Intermediate-Advanced Level course. Participant must have a good working knowledge of the MS PowerPoint environment.

You will Learn:

Introduction

Participants will get a glimpse to the science behind effective presentations, with emphasis on slide deck design and structure.

New 2013 Presenting Features

This new versions comes packed with a lot of quick new features aimed for the next generation of presenters and presentation devices. We will explore their functionality as well as practically in different scenarios. They will include: Touch mode for online, Compressing Media, Colour Pickers, 16:9 Ratios, Ink Tools and Presenter Views.

Work Online and Work Shared

When everything is about being mobile and touch – this give the ability to host online presentations. A radical departure for the everyday working professional. See how your presentations look online and the various way you can deliver your slides using online formats.

Image effects and shapes Design

Do more with images and create interesting artistic effects to emphasise, decorate and style images to fit the corporate brand. Learn how to build custom shapes to create an array of exciting diagrams and basic 3D models.

Text Editing, Content & Infographics

Understand that content in reports versus presentations are different. Edit bullet points correctly into assertions and headline and learning the Assertion-evidence models are good for PowerPoint slide content overall. Infographics are good at showing data in a visual form that is easier to understand. And for those that still print slides-cum-report style print-outs, learn the professional way of dealing with these two contrasting document types.

Video Editing and Effects

Participants will be shown how using video can enhance the effectiveness of presentations messages. Including Embedding, formatting, trimming, bookmarking and editing of video. Spliced together with audio, participants can create their own corporate or casual videos to be uploaded or presented.

Advanced 3D Models

Create stunning 3D isometric graphics and real-world product models.

Advanced Motion Path Animation

Simulations and other business animations evolve from static diagrams into sleek presentations by using motion paths. And to make animation easier, the 2013 versions now informs you where your object will end up by using a “ghost” image moving along a path from start point to the endpoint. Also, you can playback a specific animation without going through the whole preview.

Free Samples and Resources

Participants will also get samples slides ranging from business diagrams, samples animations, layouts and a host of web-related resources. Participants are also encouraged to bring along their own slides and the trainer will provide consultation and tips on how to make over your own slides.
