Advanced Orthopaedic Nursing 1 (105 hrs) This module focuses on assessment and identification of significant disorders associated with orthopaedic as well as the development and evaluation of care and the rehabilitation of the patients, families and significant others. Learners will also apply the concepts of care transition in orthopaedic nursing. Advanced Orthopaedic Nursing 2 (60 hrs) This module will provide the learners with the theoretical knowledge to assess and identify the significant problems associated with long term orthopaedic disorders, spinal disorders and amputation. The theoretical knowledge will assist the learner to develop and evaluate nursing interventions and strategies in the care and rehabilitation of the patients and their significant others. Learners will also apply the process of advance care planning in orthopaedic nursing.
