About this Course

Advanced Midwifery Nursing 1 (90 hrs) This module focuses on the roles of midwives and the basis of midwifery care of women and/or newborns during the preconceptual, antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal periods. It will assist students to explore the provision of holistic and MW11 family-centred care in the primary and tertiary healthcare settings. It emphasises the delivery of midwifery care based on the best available evidence. Advanced Midwifery Nursing 2 (75 hrs) This module focuses on the midwifery care of women and newborns with complex care needs. It will assist students to recognize the guidelines and collaborative management for common obstetric and neonatal conditions and/or abnormalities; and to apply effective intervention strategies for these clients.
