About this Course

This Competency Standard states the skills and knowledge required in optical digitizing for the manufacture of aerospace components. It covers conducting pre-checks, calibrating the optical digitizer, setting up of components, carrying out the optical digitizing, analysing the scan data and performing documentation. This standard also stipulates the opportunity for application, demonstration and practising of the skills to perform optical digitizing.
