About this Course
COURSE OBJECTIVE
The course will cover basic principles and practice of first aid, knowledge on wounds, bleeding burns, shock, fractures and other common workplace injuries as well as breathing difficulties. The course is practical oriented and includes basic first aid skills, CPR with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the management of medical awareness.

Safety officers, supervisor and personnel appointed to serve as first-aiders at the workplace.
COURSE CONTENTS
· Basic Principles and Practice of First-Aid
· First-aid Requirements Factories and Other Workplaces
· Basic Knowledge on Wounds, Bleeding & Shock
· Basic Knowledge on Fractures and Soft Tissue Injuries
· Handling and Transportation of the Injured
· Basic Knowledge on Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation with AED
· Breathing Difficulties
· The Unconscious Patient
· Occupational Eye Injuries
· Understanding for Burn Injuries
· Industrial Toxicology
· Workplace Safety and Accident Prevention
· Management of Medical Emergencies
COURSE DURATION
24 hours (3 days)
· From 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
COURSE STRUCTURE
The course comprises theory and discussion sessions:
· Theory – 24 hours
· Examination – 3 hours

· Able to read and write in English

CERTIFICATION
· Participants who have successfully completed the course and pass the course test and assessment will be issued a Training Pass by Aris Integrated Medical Pte Ltd.
REPLACEMENT
Replacement of participant is allowed if the substitute meets all entry requirements and request is made at least 3 working days before course commencement.
