Testing instruments are extremely crucial in aerospace, pharmaceutical, marine and oil & gas industry. Are you ready to take on the responsibility for ensuring accurate measurements?
This course introduces you to a range of common electronic test instruments used to make accurate measurements. You will also learn how to calibrate and troubleshoot instrumentation systems.
Acquire knowledge and skills which are highly relevant to the industry
- Check the condition and characteristics of basic electronic components.
- Construct electronic projects to given specifications.
- Test, service and repair common electronic equipment and the control system.
- Maintain, test, calibrate and repair electronic test and measuring equipment .
- Set up microcomputer to interface with programmable instruments and peripheral devices.
- Calibrate, test, install, diagnose and maintain process and control equipment.

Progression Opportunities
Nitec in Electronics (Instrumentation) graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics.
Nitec in Electronics (Instrumentation) graduates with a GPA of 2.3 and above may also apply for progression to related Higher Nitec courses offered by ITE.

Entry Requirements
To apply for the Nitec in Electronics (Instrumentation) course, you need to have:
GCE ‘O’ level grades in any 2 subjects
Or
GCE ‘N’ level passes in Mathematics or Science and 2 other subjects
