About this Course

As our everyday communications through computers and networks increases, we need skilled people to make these systems work.

Apply for this course and be a skilled specialist in installing, testing and servicing computer equipment which include microcomputer system, computer peripheral equipment and microcomputer-based equipment.  Besides computer related equipment, the training will equip you with the knowledge in electronics to prepare you for emerging industries such as medical technology, avionics and green energy applications.

Acquire knowledge and skills which are highly relevant to the industry

  • Install, test, service and commission computer system.
  • Connect, configure and test the Ethernet modules in a wired local area network for machine-to-machine communications.
  • Connect and configure a computer system to a wireless local area network.
  • Set up the basic security system in the wireless network.
  • Connect, configure and test a wireless network module.

Progression Opportunities

Nitec in Electronics (Computer & Networking) graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics. 

Nitec in Electronics (Computer & Networking) graduates with a GPA of 2.3 and above may also apply for progression to related Higher Nitec courses offered by ITE.

Entry Requirements
