Leadership Development Program | Leadership 2030: Developing the Altrocentric Leader

About this Course

In 2014, Hay Group carried out a groundbreaking research program based on foresight analysis that identified six megatrends that will create the greatest shifts in the business environment by the year 2030. The research detailed the causes and consequences of the megatrends on three important levels: the business environment, organizations, and leaders and their teams.

Formidable competition from the rise of Asia, environmental pressures, talent wars and technological leaps will divide the short term thinkers from the prudent few looking for long range opportunities. The new business world will challenge leaders on multiple levels, including cognitive, emotional and behavioral. Leaders of the future will need to redefine their leadership style and shift from being egocentric to altrocentric*. This program will bring clarity to the global challenges ahead and equip participants for the seismic changes through conceptual as well as experiential learning.

*A neologism meaning the opposite of egocentric (alter meaning “the other” in latin). The defining characteristic of altrocentric leaders is a primary focus on and concern for others rather than themselves.
