Programme Module Synopsis :

Financial Reporting

Students will develop a critical understanding and apply to FRS principles of corporate reporting for external stakeholders of corporation.

Company Law

Students will develop a critical understanding and apply the legal principles of Corporation Law and Companies Act.

Management Accounting II

Students will develop a critical understanding and apply the principles of management accounting reporting for internal stakeholders of corporation.

Business Organisation

Students will develop a critical understanding and apply the general principles of business organization in functionalities such as Human Resource Management, Marketing and Operations Management.

Quantitative Methods

This module provides an introduction to the numerical understanding and statistical analysis and to apply the understanding to evaluate quantitative data. Students will be introduced to mathematical tools and statistical concepts that will be applied to Business by applying the principles of quantitative methods.

Information Technology Management

This unit develops students’ knowledge in the concepts of information system, to critically evaluate the strategic role of information systems within organizations, the various development approaches and implementation strategies and the value of end user computing.

Managerial Economics

The module aims to develop students’ understanding on the key problems faced by managers in making decision and to provide with the economic tools in guiding their decision making. Students will be introduced to the principles and theories in Managerial Economics, to an array of tools that can utilized to make decisions in uncertain situations.

Business Finance

This module introduces students to the basic concepts of business finance, an array of financerelated techniques and to the operations of financial markets. The module aims to develop students’ knowledge in the key issues relating to business finance. Students will be introduced to the basic concepts in business finance, sources of finance, capital structure and dividend policy, cash flow and risk. The theories of investment, working investment, market efficiency and financial markets will be covered.

Full-time 10 months / Part-time 14 months

Delivery Mode

Each lesson is 3 hours and is conducted in a classroom setting at Informatics Campus.
