Progression Opportunities

Higher Nitec in Space Design Technology graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics. 

Career Prospects

Higher Nitec in Space Design Technology) graduates are employed by government departments, statutory boards, architectural firms and construction companies.  They perform a crucial role of ensuring building plans, working drawings, construction details are produced in coordination with related building industry disciplines, to meet the needs of the users such as clients, contractors, authorities, consultants and building occupants, at the different stages of the project.  Some of the job titles held by graduates include Architectural Technical Officer, Architectural Technical Coordinator, Architectural Technologist and Architecural Building Information Modeling (BIM) Specialist.

There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. This challenge is for students to upgrade their technical skills and knowledge by taking up higher-level courses

Entry Requirements

To apply for the Higher Nitec in Space Design Technology course, you need to have:

GCE 'O' level passes in English Language, Mathematics and 1 approved subject

Nitec in Space Design (Architecture)

Or

Nitec in Space Design (Interior & Exhibition)
