Progression Opportunities
Higher Nitec in Information Technology graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics. Career Prospects
Higher Nitec in Information Technology graduates can be employed by information technology (IT) users and supplier organisations. The IT users are organisations (public, private, MNCs and SMEs) using computer systems (networked or stand-alone) in their business operations. The IT suppliers are companies providing computer hardware/software and IT services.
Some of the job titles held by graduates include Network Support Technician, IT Technical Support Specialist, Web Developer, Multimedia Developer, Webmaster, Associate System Administrator, Desktop Support Engineer and Network Traffic Engineer.

Entry Requirements
To apply for the Higher Nitec in Information Technology course, you need to have:
GCE 'O' level grades in English Language, Mathematics and 1 approved subject
Or
GCE ‘N(A)’ level passes in English Language, Mathematics and 3 other subjects
*GCE N(A) school leavers who applied during the January intake under the Direct Entry Scheme will undergo 10 weeks of preparatory programme followed by 2 years of Higher Nitec training.
