About this Course
*Training & certification program to enhance and upgrade the competencies of Engineering Managers, Engineers & Technician.
The aims of the course are to understand IEC 60079 standards and raise the level of competency of the participant so that they fully understand hazardous zoned areas, and how the different standards of equipment are made suitable for the various areas. The correct procedures and practices to be used for the overhaul of explosion protected motors, pumps, and other equipment, so that they will comply with the original certification to which they were manufactured, and/or comply with the original standards. To ensure that the participant understand the legal requirements, risk assessments, and health and safety requirements, when overhauling and maintaining Explosion Proof Equipment, such as motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes etc.
The IEC Competent Person Certificate are invaluable for End users, that their Managers, Engineers and Technicians are fully aware of the care that needs to be taken when repairing Hazardous Area equipment to return it to its original certification and/or standard. This ensures that the requirements of Health and Safety, DSEAR, ATEX, Risk Assessments, and Insurers are met.
In this program, the participants will enhance their knowledge and skills to enable them to make right decision to Repair and Service the Explosion Proof equipments in their daily work. At the end of the program, participants will be able to:-

INTENDED AUDIENCE
Electrical and mechanical engineers, technicians, and supervisors, who are responsible for handling explosion Proof Equipment, especially personnel, who are removing and installing Ex motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, etc. or involved in the replacement of spare parts such as bearings. The training is also suitable for managers and participants who are involved with ATEX, Health and Safety, and risk assessments for equipments in Hazardous Zoned areas, or for sales, stores, and administration staff requiring a knowledge of zoned areas, equipment suitability etc.
