DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT METHODS

Delivery Method

The curriculum is taught over 4 terms of 8 weeks, with each term covering 2 subjects. Each subject of this part-time programme will be delivered over a 8-week cycle comprising 32 contact hours. Classes are 4-hour sessions held 2-3 times weekly.

Assessment Methods

Each unit is assessed by any combination of class participation, written assignments, project or examinations. Assessment methods may vary according to individual unit requirements.

GRADUATION AND DEGREE

Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded with the Kaplan Higher Education Institute Diploma in Mass Communication. Diploma graduates can then move on to pursue the bachelor degree programmes with one of our prestigious partner universities in Singapore.

Students will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance from Singapore Media Academy upon completion of the Radio Production and Broadcasting unit.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • GCE 'O' Levels, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualifications
  • GCE 'N' Levels, Lower NITEC, or equivalent qualifications
  • GCE 'A' Levels or equivalent qualifications (minimum 2A-2AO including C6 in General Paper)
  • Minimum Grade of B4 and above in 'N' or 'O' level English or equivalent
