About this Course

This course aims at teaching students how to setup, configure and administer Linux network. 

Students will learn how to configure a Linux system in a networked environment, configure network interface cards, dial-up interfaces for TCP/IP and turning the Linux box into a router. 

Remote log on to system remotely using X, configure sharing services like NFS, NIS, Samba, and popular Internet services offered through xinetd like telnet, ftp, tcp-wrappers, etc. and learn how to compile and update a kernel.

Students will then learn how to configure a Linux server providing Web services like a full-fledged DNS structure, use Apache server to present Web content, setting up mail server using Sendmail and Newsgroup server.

Linux security issues like configuring PAM authentication, file and account security, security and audit services, OS hardening, encryption-enabled services like SSH and sate-inspection firewall are also covered.

Chapter 5: Setting Up Linux Secure Services

Certificate Of Attendance will be awarded to students completing the course achieving minimum 75% attendance..

Practical hands-on sessions, 60% lab-based and 40% theory-based

Well-designed lab sessions to enhance further understanding of the courseware

Training Duration:

Full-Time : 5 weekdays or 5 Sats

Time : 9.30am - 5.30pm 

Part-Time : 10 sessions

Time : 7.00pm - 10.00pm (twice a week)
