Recognising the need for a designation that allows individuals to demonstrate unrivalled levels of skill and knowledge and to help them become key players in their organisation, CNet Training designed and developed the CDCTP® and launched it in 2007.

Ensuring zero downtime within the data centre environment involves having people on board that have unrivalled technical skills regarding every element of these facilities. Those with CDCTP® certification are increasingly seen as vital to the smooth running of any data centre operation and the course will give delegates the ability to identify, decipher and remedy potential problems quickly, decisively and accurately.

This course addresses the wide range of subjects necessary relevant to the data centre technician including the latest policy, procedure and compliance based legislation, standards and codes of conduct, as well as detailed analysis of current measuring, monitoring and auditing techniques.

Course Structure:

The CDCTP® course is classroom based and led by one of CNet Training’s expert instructors. This program’s duration is 5 days and can be taken as a full program or split into two units that can be taken independently in the following sequence:

Core Unit

This three-day course covers the essential elements of being a data centre technician. Topics covered include data centre fundamentals, the physical infrastructure, business continuity and disaster recovery. After completing the Core Unit delegates are awarded the CDCT® designation. 

Professional Unit

This two day course comprises an in-depth analysis of the advanced elements of being a data centre technician – policies, procedures and compliance, and how to successfully measure, monitor and audit. Topics such as data and non-data related legislation, data and non-data related standards, regulations and codes of conduct, metrics, risk management and auditing are all covered in-depth. Learn 

Post Completion:

As well as achieving the prestigious CDCTP® certification delegates will also receive the Data Centre Technician Level 4 BTEC Advanced Professional Award.
