Certificate in Aircraft Electrical & Avionics System Module Synopsis Basic Electricity and Electronics This module introduces the basic electrical, electronic and digital fundamentals. It provides students with basics knowledge and skills in solving DC and AC networks by using Ohm’s Law, Kirchhoff’s Law. The module will also cover principles of semiconductor, diodes, transistors and logic gates. Aircraft Electrical Systems This module provides students with fundamental knowledge and operations of generators and motors, aircraft electrical power, wiring and circuit protection, distribution of power supplies, control and transducers devices used in aircraft systems and aircraft lighting systems. Avionics Theory & Systems This module covers the various avionics instruments and systems used in modern aircraft, the requirement for zero-visibility flying, the functions and operation of various cockpit instruments, flight environmental systems, sensing devices and electrical power systems used in aircraft. Due emphasis is given to electronics for navigation, communications, surveillance and control.
