About this Course

Overview

This course intends to develop academically confident graduates through the provision of a supportive learning environment that nurtures understanding of the accounting and finance disciplines, theories and issues. Students will also develop the capacity for independent thought, critical reflection, analytical and problem solving skills, entrepreneurial spirit, academic curiosity, creativity and strategic thinking in a broad business context.

The curriculum is future fit, and is responsive to the rapidly changing needs of the accounting and finance professions.

ACCA Exemptions

This course is very closely mapped to the ACCA syllabus and students who have attempted both the Auston Higher Diploma in Accountancy, followed by this top up are eligible for ACCA exemptions of F1-F9. Students who transfer into the top-up degree only (without the Auston Higher Diploma) may NOT receive the same exemptions.

Entry Requirement

Applicants aged 19 years or older are eligible to enter the top-up degree programme with one of the following qualifications:

  • A relevant Auston Higher Diploma
  • Singapore government Polytechnic Diploma in relevant fields
  • NQF Level 5 qualification
  • Relevant equivalent qualification from recognised institutions
  • Non-related Diploma will be assessed on a case-by-case basis

Applicants whose first language is not English or whose previous qualification was not taught and assessed in English must provide evidence of attainment in English Language by achieving an IELTS 6 or an equivalent qualification.
