About this Course

Many of the advanced features of AutoCAD® Plant are covered in this AutoCAD Plant training course. Learn how to customize the AutoCAD Plant environment. Topics include P&ID project setup, project specifications, model project setup and Isometric configurations.

This course is intended primarily for CAD Managers, and other advanced users who need to configure or optimize AutoCAD Plant.

After completing this AutoCAD Plant training course, users will be able to:

• Understand and customize the AutoCAD Plant environment.
  

          - General Project Settings

          - P&ID DWG settings

              - Create custom classes (content)

              - Define or modify tags (properties) and annotation

          - Plant 3D DWG settings

              - Create custom classes (content)

          - Isometric DWG Settings

• Understand and customize AutoCAD Plant catalogs and specifications
  

          - Creating and updating project specifications

          - Define branch routing

          - Create and update pipe catalogs

• Understand and customize the Data Manager and Reports
  

Prerequisites:

Users should be able to understand, read and create a piping and instrumentation diagram. Indepth knowledge of AutoCAD is not required. It is recommended that the user have a working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Vista or Microsoft® Windows® XP.
