About this Course

This 3-Day course provides the training required to design an AHERA asbestos abatement project in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. The completion of this course and the passing of the required examination fulfill U.S. EPA requirements per 40 CFR, Part 763 requirements.

This seminar includes development of abatement specification and drawing including a field exercise for “hands-on” experiences, budgeting/cost estimating, contract preparation and administration, design of control measures, legal liabilities/defenses, role of other consultants and overview of abatement construction projects.

A unique working/laboratory section in preparation of cost estimates, round table discussions on project problems, variables in design and project methodology with additional emphasis on specification preparation, is provided as an optional fourth day of training.

ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATION

NAETI will give a 25 question  final exam. Upon successful completion of the AHERA Project Designer course and passing the exam, an official NAETI Certificate of Completion will be provided.
