KBA Training (KBAT) is pleased to host 'An Introduction to Hydraulics' course that is conducted by MTCS (Asia Pacific ) Pte ltd. The training will be held in Singapore whereby MTCS will be utilising KBAT classroom and training facility. This expands our Commercial Diving portfolio for competency development training
This one day course provides an overview of hydraulic theory, and hydraulic systems as used on ROVs and ancillary equipment found in the offshore industry. This typically includes ROV launch systems, dive equipment and deck machinery. The course covers the basic principles of how an hydraulic system functions and the key components in an hydraulic system.
The course is designated to assist in making the delegate aware of those key components in the system and understand basic set-up and maintenance procedures for them.
COURSE CONTENT
- ROV systems (inc. ISO 1219 symbols)
- Hydraulic fluids
- Hydraulic pumps
- Actuators
- Pressure control valves
- Directional control valves
- Flow control and non-return Valves
- Proportional valves
- Reservoirs, compensators and accumulators
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates are required to have some technical experience within the offshore industry in either an electrical or mechanical discipline.
ASSESSMENT
Delegates will be assessed by a short written assessment.
CERTIFICATION
Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate of ‘Successful Completion of Training in Hydraulic Principles’.
FURTHER DEVELOPMENT
Candidates may use the course as evidence to support the MTCS Competence Management Programme for appropriate technical disciplines within ROV, Diving or Marine.
