LEARNING OUTCOME

At the end of this course, students will:

  • Demonstrate relevant Logistics & Supply Chain Management knowledge and understanding of organisations, the external environment in which they operate and how they are managed.
  • Understand international Logistics and Supply Chain Management, including the integration of information and decisions on transportation, inventory, material flow, and resources.
  • Identify the organisation’s strength and industry position and understand the externals factors that may influence that position.
  • Understand the roles of purchasing, materials management and supply management in the realm of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Develop a keen awareness of the various modes of transportation and the different strategies shippers adopt in global transportation.
  • Conduct an applied research leading to a project report by applying the knowledge, skills and perspectives gained.
  • Undertake further training, develop existing skills and acquire new competencies that will enable them to assume significant responsibility in a business organisation.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Minimum Age 

At least 17 years old

Minimum Academic Entry Requirement

  • Completion of LSBF Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (or equivalent programme); OR
  • Polytechnic Diploma holders in a relevant field of study (with exemptions); OR
  • Polytechnic Diploma holders in a related field of study (with or without exemptions); OR
  • Polytechnic Diploma holders in a non-related field of study (with Bridging); OR
  • Other appropriate qualifications

Minimum English Language Entry Requirement 

Applicants must have ANY of the following:

  • Grade C6 or better in the English Language at the Singapore GCE ‘O’ levels;OR
  • IELTS 5.5; OR
  • Common European Framework B2

Exceptions 

Students, who have other qualifications, will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Award of Diploma & Assessment

To be awarded the LSBF Advanced Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, students must complete and pass all 8 modules in the programme. To achieve a pass grade in each module, students must obtain an overall passing grade of at least 40%.

COURSE DURATION

Full Time course: 

8 months

Students attend lessons for a period of 8 months from Monday to Friday

Part Time course: 

12 months

Students attend 3-hr lessons 3 nights a week and scheduled weekends for a period of 12 months.
