About this Course
In Fall 2000, Adobe announced the advent of a piece of software that would be a “Quark-killer” – a page design program that would end the dominance of QuarkXpress in the industry. That software was InDesign. Today, InDesign occupies the throne vacated by PageMaker, a robust piece of design software able to create and output design-intensive, high-end publications.
Graphic designers requiring to “cross the bridge” into publication design are encouraged to attend, as are designers new to page layout.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- navigate InDesign;
- create and set proper page layouts;
- set and use page elements – tables, frames, master pages;
- work with typography;
- use graphics and effects efficiently;
- employ correct colour;
- prepare documents for prepress;
- manage basic cross-platform media publishing;
- output and hand-off files correctly
