About this Course

Programme Overview

It is a Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) accredited program, upon completion of which, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) in WSQ Follow Food and Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures. 

It will also lead to knowledge and skills in maintaining safety and hygiene when handling, cooking and storing food and beverages.

The objectives of the programme are as follow:

• To equip the learner with the foundations of food safety and hygiene while handling, cooking and storing food.
  
• To enable the participants to apply the learned skills to the workplace.
  
• Certify the Food Handlers to be competent to work in the Food and Beverage industry in Singapore as per NEA requirements. 
  

Programme Content

• Maintain Personal Hygiene.
  
• Maintain Food Preparation and Service Utensils and Equipment.
  
• Prepare Food Safely.
  
• Handle Food Safely.
  
• Store Food Safely.
  
• Maintain Food Preparation, Service and Storage Areas. 
  

Important to Note

Enrolment is subjected to availability and incomplete application will not be processed. 

The programme is conducted in english and proficiency in the language is a requirement.

Required Attire:

   1. White collared shirt

       (No see-through, sleeveless, revealing, designs or patterns)

   2. Black Pants

       (No jeans, leggings, jogging or cargo pants)

   3. Black covered shoes 

       (No slippers, high heels or sports shoes)

   4. As per the Academy's grooming policy, hair / head accessories such as 

       caps, hats or any other headgears are not allowed.

Failure to comply to grooming standards will result in non-participation.

Funding 

1) WDA Programme Fee Funding

Enjoy up to 90% WDA programme fee funding for all Singaporeans and SPRs who are eligible for our Continuing Education Module (CEM) programmes.

2) Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme - 95% Programme Fee Funding 

Eligible for:

• All employed Singaporeans who are eligible for our WSQ Certified programmes.
  
• 35 years old and above.
  
• Monthly income of not more than S$1,900
