About this Course

About the course:

Rigger and Signalmen Course is aimed at providing participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure a safe and proper slinging and control maneuver for lifting of materials and equipment.


Legal Requirement:

Any person operating a crane shall not hoist any load unless he has received a clear signal from a signalman No person shall be appointed as a signalman unless he has successfully completed a training course approved by the Commissioner. No person shall rig up loads for any lifting operation by a mobile crane or tower crane unless he is a rigger appointed by an occupier. No person shall be appointed as a rigger unless he has successfully completed a training course approved by the Commissioner.

Entry Requirements:

Must be over 18 years of age

Assumed Skills and knowledge :

1.Workplace Literacy and Numeracy level 2 or equivalent

2.At Least Six months relevant industrial experience. 


Participants are required to wear their safety boots for the practical session.

Only participants with 100% attendance will be eligible to sit for the examination.
